Single?
Being single doesn’t diminish your value as a person or as a Christian. Don’t let anyone tell you or make you feel otherwise.

It has been a normal day. Wake up to the alarm, take a shower, drive to work and battle the frustration of traffic. Now that I am at work, I just take the second to breathe and I decide to pull out the bible app for a second and ease my mind.
“Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will…
I have been busy nonstop since I got home from Austin! Whether it’s working everyday, babysitting or YoungLife meetings/campaigners/large groups. It’s hard because I feel like I am neglecting spending time with God everyday like I should, especially with camp coming up on Saturday. I am trying to focus on that now. Even in the midst of my little mess I need to continue to find my focus and strength in God.
Might I add how excited that I am to be done with server training on Saturday and then leave to camp in CO with my girls that night!!
I went country dancing tonight at a bar and it was an amazing experience. But I must ask, where did the gentlemen go? The only men that asked me to dance were 5 men that were much older than me. I’m not gonna lie, they were amazing dancers so I had so much fun dancing with them. But no one my age asked me to dance. Maybe that is simply cause guys my age are scared or maybe I’m intimidating. I don’t know but it just made me sad for my generation. One day…I will find a man that won’t be afraid to ask for my hand to dance and sweep me off my feet. Until then, thanks to my brother and all those older men for asking me to dance!
I know there is a man out there who will say this to me!

The rest of my day was spent at our last club of the year. It was an unforgettable night. From people getting a really confused look when I pull off my shirt to reveal my “modest is hottest” one piece to almost all the leaders getting thrown in the pool. I must say my favorite moment was someone walking up to me and saying “Hey I just met you and this is crazy but here’s my number so call me maybe” while handing me an invisible piece of paper. I can’t explain the laughs and just fun we had there last night.
My favorite part was the ending though. Driving home with Carter and Sean, two of the guys I lead with. We had a great conversation and I feel that we are growing closer. I am so glad God has blessed me with a group of leaders that I enjoy being around.
I am just so blessed to be a YoungLife leader and to be a part of all these amazing kids’ lives.
I had an appointment with the blood specialist and my mom couldn’t go with me. Luckily Mamma Shade offered to go with me. So, I met her at her house and she drove me to the appointment. Glory be to God because the only thing wrong with my blood is an iron deficiency, which is easily fixable. Mamma Shade and I left the office quite happy. We then went to the groceries, went home, iced cupcakes, ate heart-shaped sandwiches and watched footloose.
That entire time I had some great conversations with her. She is an amazing woman and always knows what to say. I am so lucky to have her and her daughters in my life. I thank God everyday for them.
This was only the beginning of my beautiful day.
